It all started in February of 2009, when Dave asked Josh jokingly “Hey J, wanna start a reggae band?” Soon came Tim and Eric, who had been jammin’ ukuleles with Josh for a while. Sam was then asked to join the band as the drummer/token white dude. But alas, there was a problem. Sam felt lonely and slightly threatened being surrounded by four large minorities in a small practice room, so Loren soon joined the band as white man backup/epic bass player. Four months later, LandLocked quickly gained a reputation as the “best feel good dance music in Montana”, sharing the stage with nationally touring acts such as State Radio, Iration, and The Dirty Heads. Their sound can best be described as island reggae, smothered in rock gravy, and peppered with hip hop….tangy.
